Jharsuguda: Former MLA Ashwini Guru passed away today at around 4 am due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Brajrajnagar, Jharsuguda. He was 69.
Ashwini Guru was elected to the State Assembly from Sambalpur in 1980 on Congress ticket. He served as a legislator during the tenure of Former Chief Minister JB Patnaik. From 2018 to 2022, he was the district president of Sambalpur Congress and a member of AICC.
His body has been kept at his residence in Brajrajnagar. Leaders and party workers paid their last respects to the former MLA. His mortal remains will be cremated today at his native place.
