Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and former MLA Balabhadra Majhi today resigned from the primary membership of party citing negligence.
He sent his resignation letter to BJD president Naveen Patnaik.
“I do hereby relinquish from the primary membership of the Biju Janata Dal. Thanks a lot for allowing me to work for long period along with you since formation of the party in 1997,” he wrote in the letter.
He was MLA from Lanjigarh between 2014 and 2019. The party had denied him a ticket in 2019 and filded Pradip Dishari who won the poll by a handsome margin.
