Bhubaneswar: Acting on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets (DA) by Brajendra Kumar Nayak, former Civil Supplies Officer, Nayagarh (A/p under suspension), sleuths of the Odisha Vigilance on Friday launched simultaneous house searches at premises linked to Nayak.
According to reports, the searches are being conducted by a team of the Odisha Vigilance comprising two DSPs, six Inspectors, and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The searches are being conducted at the following five places in Bhubaneswar and Puri districts:
- A house situated on plot No AL/55, Bhimatangi, Housing Board Colony in Bhubaneswar.
- A house situated on the plot at 384 Rajarani Colony, Bhubaneswar.
- A house situated at Nayak’s native village at Sunugaradi under Nimapara police limits in Puri district.
- A farmhouse at Sunugaradi village at Nimapara in Puri district.
The searches are in progress and detailed reports are awaited.
