Former Deputy Speaker Of Odisha Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Former Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj, passed away on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment for cardiac complications at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 70.

Mardaraj, who was the Raja of Khandpara Gada, was a prominent figure in Odisha politics. He was elected to the Assembly three times (1980, 1985, and 1995) and served as Minister and Speaker. He was associated with the Congress party for many years.

Mardaraj’s demise has sent shockwaves through the state’s political circles. His contributions to Odisha’s politics and governance will be remembered for years to come.

Mardaraj’s passing has sparked an outpouring of condolences from political leaders cutting across party lines.
