Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Minister Jagannath Rout today breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here, family sources said.
Sources added that Rout was undergoing treatment for age-related illness. He was 77.
Rout who was elected to the Odisha Assembly from Dhamnagar Assembly seat thrice in 1980, 1985 and 1995 on a Congress ticket, thrice served as Ministers in the State government.
He served as Industry Minister from 1989-90, Health & Family Welfare Minister from 1995-98 and Urban Development Minister from 1998-99.
