Bhubaneswar: Former Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda has set an example for others in the society by getting his widowed daughter-in-law Madhusmita remarried.
According to reports, Madhusmita’s wedding was solemnized with Shiva Chandan of Remuna in Balasore district at the Laxmi Temple in Nayapalli area here on Tuesday as per Hindu rituals. Incidentally, January 24 (Tuesday) happened to be the National Girl Child Day.
The wedding was solemnized in the presence of Nanda, his wife Ranjita, Madhusmita’s brothers Soumya Ranjan and Rashmi Ranjan. It was a low-key affair.
Nanda has mentioned about the wedding ceremony in a post on social media.
He has said that the marriage was solemnized with the concurrence of Madhusmita’s father Nilamani Panda.
He has wished the newlywed couple a happy conjugal life.
Nanda’s elder son and Madhusmita’s first husband Sambit had succumbed to Covid on 22nd of May 2021.
