Bhubaneswar: Retired Chief Justice Of Orissa High Court Justice S Muralidhar will practice law in the Supreme Court as the top court has designated him as a Senior Advocate.
The designation was accorded by the Chief Justice of India and the Judges of the Supreme Court in a full court meeting held on October 16.
The designation is in terms of Guidelines for Designation of Senior Advocates by the Supreme Court of India, 2023, framed in compliance with the Judgment dated 12th May 2023 passed in the case of ‘Ms. Indira Jaising Vs. Supreme Court of India, through Secretary General.
Justice (Dr) S Muralidhar had retired in August this year. He had served as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court between January 2021 and August 2023.
He had also served as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Delhi High Court during his long tenure.
