Bhubaneswar: Former Rajya Sabha member Narendra Swain breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
In December 2015 he was elected to the Rajya Sabha. From March 2016 onwards he was Member of Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture. Swain was elected as Member of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines from May 2017 onwards.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed deep grief at the death of Narendra Swain. Naveen late him as a dedicated organiser and said that the former MP will be remembered for his service for the working community.
The Chief Minister conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
