Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Monday launched simultaneous house searches linked to Tara Prasad Mishra, former chief engineer, Roads & Building (Civil), Odisha. The searches are being undertaken following allegations of possession of disproportionate assets by Mishra.
The searches are being undertaken by 12 DSPs, 12 Inspectors, 16 ASIs, and other supporting staff of the Vigilance Department on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
According to a press release issued by the Vigilance Department on Monday, the searches are being conducted at the following nine places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jharsuguda.
The residential house of Tara Prasad Mishra at Flat No. 103, Arpan Apartment, Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar.
- Flat No. K-155A, 15th Floor at Cosmopolis in Bhubaneswar.
- Flat No. K-035, 3rd Floor at Cosmopolis in Bhubaneswar.
- Flat No. 307, Ashiana Apartment in Jharsuguda.
- Flat No. 17, Ashiana Apartment in Jharsuguda.
- Flat No. 207, Ashiana Apartment in Jharsuguda.
- Mishra’s parental house at Athagarh in Cuttack.
- A house of Mishra’s relative at Tigharia in Cuttack.
- The house of his relative at Plot No. 1191, Nilakantha Nagar, Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar.
The searches are still underway and a detailed report is awaited.
