Bhubaneswar: The Talabania police arrested four persons on Saturday for their involvement in a series of burglaries in Puri district.
The accused have been identified as Srikant Swain (33) from Balighat, Ashish Mallick (19), Kajol Das (28) from Brahman Pokhari, and Chiranjibi Das (28) from the Nimapada area of Puri district.
According to reports, several burglary complaints were lodged at different police stations in Puri district over the last 15 days.
In response, the Talabania Police Station Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) formed a special team to investigate the matter. The team conducted raids at various locations, leading to the arrest of the four suspects.
During the operation, the police recovered stolen items, including 7 gold chains, 30 gold rings, 1 digital camera, 3 mobile phones, 1 printer, and 1 monitor.
