Bhubaneswar: Four persons were arrested for allegedly planning to commit dacoity in Khurdha Sadar Police Station area. The arrests were made on Saturday at Dadhimachhagadia playground under Sadar Police Station.
The police team, led by Sub-Inspector Debasmita Behera, seized four country-made pistols with live ammunition, three iron rods, two packets of red chilli powder, and one TVS Jupiter scooter bearing registration number OD-02-DA-5180.
The accused have been identified as a 25-year-old male from Palla, Khordha, a 34-year-old male from Kadalibadi, Khordha, a 25-year-old male from Baxilane, Khordha, and a 33-year-old male from IRC Village, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.
The investigation is being led by SI J.K. Bhatta of Sadar Police Station.
