Bhubaneswar: Jharsuguda Airport police have arrested four persons in connection with an armed robbery reported from Saletikra near Biju Expressway of Jharsuguda district.
The accused have been identified as Manoj Barik (27) of Bandhbahal, along with Sunil Yadav alias Nanu (23), Suraj Pancham (19), and Shibam Paswan (20), all residents of Rampur Brajrajnagar.
According to police, the arrests were made within 24 hours of registering the case (Airport PS Case No. 139 dated August 26, 2025) under various sections of the Arms Act.
The complainant, Ramu Kisan (35), a night watchman, reported that he was attacked by three unidentified men around 1 am on August 25 while on duty. The assailants allegedly assaulted him, threatened him at gunpoint and with a Bhujali, before stealing his mobile phone and motorcycle.
Following the complaint, police launched an investigation, quickly tracing the suspects and recovering the stolen items, including the mobile phone and motorcycle. Additionally, police seized a motorcycle, a pistol, and a Bhujali from the accused.
