Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday announced that the state government will organise a four-day free medical camp in Nabarangpur from July 7 to 10, 2025 under the Chief Minister’s Air Health Services initiative.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister said that health services are being given top priority under the new administration, with district headquarters hospitals being upgraded to provide free and advanced medical care.
“The people’s government is committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure. To reassure citizens by offering free medical services, facilities at district headquarters hospitals are being enhanced. A four-day medical camp will be held in Nabarangpur to provide quality treatment through specialist doctors from medical colleges,” CM Majhi stated.
The initiative, aimed at making healthcare more accessible and affordable, will see the deployment of specialist doctors from SCB Medical College. The camp will offer super-specialty services including surgeries, cardiology and neurology consultations, as well as advanced diagnostic tests.
Around 938 pre-screened patients are expected to benefit from the camp, which will provide treatment and medicines free of cost. The event will be fully supported by the district administration in terms of logistics and coordination.
The Chief Minister further informed that similar health camps are being planned for Nuapada and Malkangiri districts in the coming months as part of the broader mission to improve healthcare services across the state.
“The government is taking all necessary steps to further expand healthcare services. In this direction, similar camps are planned to be organised in Nuapada and Malkangiri districts in the near future,” read the Chief Minister’s post.
