Bhubaneswar: Four persons have been detained in connection with the murder of Krushna Chandra Pratihari, a senior servitor at the Jagannath temple in Puri.
While it is suspected that one of them is the prime accused, police is yet to reveal the details of the case.
Pratihari, who was the secretary of Suar Mahasuar Nijog, had been shot dead by unidentified miscreants near the Barabati area in Puri on March 16.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the miscreants shot Pratihari in the back of his head. The bullet pierced the skull and exited on the front of the head.
Treating the case as top priority, four special teams had been formed for the investigation. Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh had earlier informed that all persons involved in the murder have been identified.
