Four Held

Bhubaneswar: The Capital Police on Monday arrested four persons, including three women, for allegedly stealing air conditioning units and copper wires from Lok Seva Bhawan.

The accused have been identified as Urmila Pradhan, Krishna Bisoy, Kumari Pradhan, and Prafulla Kumar Jena, a resident of Keshari Nagar Basti in Unit-5 under Capital Police Station.

According to reports, the accused, engaged as labourers at Lok Seva Bhawan, allegedly dismantled outdoor AC units installed on the rooftop of the Rural Development conference hall to extract copper wires. Taking advantage of their access to the premises, they committed the theft over a period of time.

Following a complaint, police initiated an investigation. CCTV footage analysis led to the identification and arrest of four persons. Several outdoor AC units and copper wires were seized from their possession.

The investigation is ongoing.
