Khordha: In a tragic incident, four people were injured when the vehicle of Khalikote MLA Purna Chandra Sethy collided with an autorickshaw in the Badapokharia area on NH-16 in Khordha district on Monday.
According to reports, the BJP legislator was travelling in an SUV registered in his name. The vehicle rear-ended the autorickshaw near Badapokharia Chhak on NH-16 causing injuries to the four people inside the autorickshaw.
Local residents quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the victims to the Badapokharia Primary Health Center (PHC). Fortunately, all of them are now in stable condition.
The MLA was unharmed in the crash, although the front of his vehicle was damaged. The Jankia police were notified and responded to the scene, where they seized the autorickshaw.
An investigation into the incident is underway. The MLA has not yet made a public statement on the accident.
