Jeypore (Koraput): In a tragic incident, four persons were killed after two cars collided head-on on National Highway 26 near Sunabeda Traffic Circle in Koraput district late last night.
The head-on collision between a Celerio car and a Safari car resulted in fatalities. Three people in the Celerio car died on the spot, while the driver of the Safari vehicle succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, with one person dying en route to Koraput Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital and another while being taken to Visakhapatnam hospital. A seriously injured person is currently undergoing treatment at Koraput Medical college.
Police have reached the accident spot and seized the cars involved in the accident. The bodies have also been seized for post-mortem.
