Four Killed In Two Separate Road Mishaps In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: Four persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday morning

In the first incident, a Bolero van carrying 13 passengers crashed into a roadside tree near Rangamathia, Baripada. The driver lost control of the steering wheel, resulting in the tragic accident.

Two passengers, Bhuban Kumar Singh (driver) and Jayant Kumar Singh, succumbed to their injuries. Eleven others sustained grievous injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at Baripada PRM Hospital. The victims were en route to attend a ‘Karam Natak’ event.

In another tragic incident, two bikers, Bikash Mahanta and Mitu Mahanta, lost their lives after colliding with a stationary truck on NH 18 near Palbani, on the outskirts of Baripada town. They were rushed to PRM Hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
