Balasore: In a horrific incident, four labourers were critically injured after coming in contact with a live wire while working in Baliapal village in Jaleswar of Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday morning.
According to reports, the four labourers were working near the Baliapal bus stand in Jaleswar when they came in contact with a live wire. Eleven labourers were engaged in the house construction of one Babu Sethy in Baliapal village. They were laying rods when eight of the workers accidentally came in contact with an 11 KV live wire.
All four labourers sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Baliapal Community Health Centre. Later, as their condition deteriorated, the victims were shifted to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The condition of the victims is said to be critical.
On being informed, police and officials of the electricity department reached the spot and started to probe into the matter.
