**Jharsuguda: ** Four members of a family were killed and 22 others sustained injuries when a bus they were travelling met with an accident near Katni in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Aarti Bag and Rebati Kumar of ESI Square in Brajrajnagar and a couple, Pramod Kumar and Lalita Kumar belonging to Burla. The injured have been shifted to the Katni district headquarters hospital.
According to reports, as many as 25 members from the family were returning on a bus from Allahabad, after conducting an ashes-immersion ritual. The fateful incident occurred at around 4 am when the bus driver was manoeuvring a sharp turn on the National Highway.
Local police have registered a case and investigating into the incident. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for autopsy, sources added.
