Four Women Arrested For Assaulting Kaptipada IIC

Bhubaneswar: Kaptipada police arrested four women for allegedly assaulting an Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) of the police station in Mayurbhanj district.

As per reports, Prakash Rath had gone to raid an illegal sand storage facility in the Dahisahi area when he was ambushed by the mafias on December 18. The attackers, including the accused women, pelted stones at Rath and damaged his vehicle. On a tip-off, police reached the spot and rescued the IIC. He was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately.

Police have arrested four women in connection with the incident, while two main accused are still on the run. The three accused women are residents of Dahisahi and Gohira under the police jurisdiction.
