6 Workers Dead, 2 Critically Injured After Being Run Over By Train

Bhubaneswar: As many as six persons were killed and two injured after a goods train ran over them near Jajpur – Keonjhar Road station on Wednesday.

The victims, all daily labourers had taken shelter under the bogie of a goods train stationed at Jajpur Road station today evening.

According to reports, the train did not have an engine but it started rolling because of strong winds blowing due to the impact of a nor’wester.

The workers had sheltered under the train to protect themselves from the nor’wester rains. Further reports are awaited.
