Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police has arrested a fraudster who used dupe prospective two-wheeler sellers on the pretext of a test drive. The two-wheeler thief has been arrested and 11 vehicles recovered from his possession, said DCP Dr Umashankar Dash.

“The man identified as Amit Patra alias Jaga has been arrested and forwarded to the court today. From the past few weeks, he used to trap two-wheeler sellers who posted Ads online,” said Dash. The Special Squad was assigned this case and Jaga was arrested following an investigation. The unsuspicious sellers gave their vehicles to Jaga who fled and never returned. The victims had filed cases in different locations of the city in this context.
