Koraput: Jeypore Police have arrested one Subash Choudhury of Lingaraj Nagar on charges of duping job aspirants in the locality. According to the police, Subash asked each job aspirants to deposit Rs 20,000 with his company promising them job of a Teacher at Anganwadi schools.
The police have recovered Rs 14.76 lakh, mobile phones, computers and incriminating documents from the possession of the accused. The police acted on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Dinesh Khila in this matter, SDPO Arup Abhishek Behera said.
“According to the complainant, Choudhury had promised him a job and assured that the deposit of Rs 20,000 will be refunded after 3 years of employment. The applicants also received offer letters but realised that those were fake,” Behera added.
At least 94 job aspirants have been duped by Choudhury so far. Further investigation is on in this matter, the police added.
