Bhubaneswar: Although the Railways have claimed that the tracks at the horrific train accident site have been restored and train services will soon resume on the route, passengers of the ill-fated Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express and Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and the relatives of the victims who are stranded in Odisha capital are finding it difficult to return home.
Keeping this in view, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that free bus service would be available for such passengers to Kolkata from Puri, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar till the train services are normalized.
As per the announcement, 20 buses from Puri, 23 from Bhubaneswar, and 16 buses from Cuttack left for Kolkata as free service as of 11.30 pm on Sunday. These include OSRTC buses also.
