**Cuttack:** After the the late INA soldier’s grandson, Babula Panda was traced to a private hospital here, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced that all the treatment expenses incurred on Babula will be borne by the State Government.
According to K.B. Singh, DGP, Odisha, “Babula Panda was rescued from Mancheswar area in a critical condition by the police after the Model Control Room got a call on Thursday afternoon. He was admitted to Hi-Tech Hospital here and later was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack city. He will tell about his whereabouts once he gets well as he is an adult.”
Meanwhile, Central RDC A.B. Ota on Friday reached SCB to inquire about Babula Panda’s health condition.
SCB Principal informed media that a team of doctors from four departments are taking care of Babula’s treatment.
Notably, the 22-year-old had come to Bhubaneswar for the felicitation programmed held by PM Narendera Modi at Raj Bhawan where the the kin of freedom fighters and Paika Rebellion were felicitated on April 16.
On their way back to hometown Jeypore, the trio got separated from each other at the railway station of Bhubaneswar. His mother Sujata Panda had boarded the wrong train and was rescued at Balasore before being sent back to her native place while his father had returned alone.
Babula had gone missing since that day.
The Commissionerate Police had made a team to search him and locate his whereabouts.
His mysterious disappearance had also stoked a political row with the BJP alleging involvement of minister Pranab Prakash Das and BJD spokesperson Rabi Narayan Nanda.
