This is the twelfth instance of a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal since the beginning of August. Rainfall in varying intensity has been lashing across several parts of Odisha. The last low pressure, before veering towards West Bengal-Bangladesh border, affected coastal and north-east districts of Odisha.
Odisha IMD said yesterday that there are favourable chances for withdrawal of south-west monsoon mainly from western and north-western districts of Odisha. Subsequently, there are chances of withdrawal of south-west monsoon from the entire State and also from the entire country in the further next two days, it added.
