Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area is likely to form over East-central Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast around September 30. It is likely to move northwestwards with possibility of gradual intensification, IMD stated in a bulletin.
“A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge over East-central Bay of Bengal & adjoining north Andaman Sea off Myanmar coast around 29th September. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over East-central Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast during subsequent 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move northwestwards with the possibility of gradual intensification,” IMD bulletin read.
Light to Moderate rain and thundershower have occurred at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.

Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
