Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) is to organise a statewide protest from July 7 to 17 against the rise in fuel prices and other issues, informed the party president Niranjan Patnaik on Monday.
The party will stage a demonstration in every block headquarters on July 7, in every district headquarters on July 9, and in the capital city Bhubaneswar on July 14. It will organise a signature campaign of consumers in front of every petrol pump on July 17.
The OPCC will also submit a memorandum seeking cut in the fuel prices. The party has also requested all consumers in the State to cooperate with the movement by boycotting the purchase of fuel on July 15.
