Rayagada: The Special Task Force (STF) today arrested a constable of the Excise Department for keeping around 42 kg ganja in his house.
The STF has seized 42.240 kg ganja from the Excise constable’s house.
The accused identified as Deepak Panigrahi was serving in the Excise Department’s Rayagada Sadar office.
The STF team which came from Bhubaneswar raided the Kasturi Nagar house of Panigrahi on Monday. Panigrahi was staying on rent.
He was brought to the police station for questioning.
Panigrahi was arrested by the police today and forwarded to court, informed Rayagada IIC BK Kanhar.
