Kesinga: National Highway no.26 has turned out to be a major corridor for ganja smuggling.
Several vehicles transporting ganja through this route have been seized in the last few months.
Kesinga police today seized a Bolero vehicle with a fake registration number plate smuggling ganja packed in small packets concealed under the ceiling pad of the vehicle.
Two persons have been arrested by the police in this connection. The accused have been identified as Manef Kumar and Manu Kumar, both hail from Patna in Bihar.
A total of 61 kilograms of ganja which was being trafficked to Ranchi in Jharkhand from Jeypore was seized.
