Berhampur: The body of the girl student who went missing while bathing in the sea near Arjipalli village under Chatrapur block in Ganjam district has been fished out.
The deceased girl student has been identified as Pragyan Rani Tripathy of Seragarh area in Ganjam district.
A Coast Guard aircraft was engaged in the search operation.
According to reports, five girl students had gone to take a bath in the sea, they were swept away by a strong current in the sea around 7 am today.
Earlier in the day, while three girl students were rescued by villagers, the body of another girl student Swapna Rani Pandit of Kanisi area was fished out by Marine Police and ODRAF team from the sea and Pragyan Rani Tripathy remained missing.
