Ganjam: In a proud moment for Odisha, a security guard’s son from Buguda in Ganjam district has cracked the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examination with an impressive score, securing the 36th rank in India.
Krishna, son of a security guard Simanchal Rout, has proved that financial constraints are no match for a resolute spirit. Born into a family with limited financial resources, Krishna could have easily let circumstances dictate his fate. Instead, he chose to defy the odds, using his determination as a catalyst to drive his academic pursuits.
As per reports, Krishna’s father worked in Surat for many years in a textile company. However, after being diagnosed with a heart disease, he started working as a security guard. From a young age, Krishna showed a keen interest in studies. Despite facing numerous obstacles, his father, Simanchal, never compromised on his son’s education.
Krishna’s journey to success was not an easy one. Despite the financial constraints, Krishna’s parents encouraged his passion for studies, and he went on to complete his commerce degree from a local college before getting admission into the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Krishna’s hard work and determination paid off when he cleared the CA intermediate examination with flying colours, scoring 437 marks out of 600. His achievement is a testament to his dedication and perseverance.
Krishna’s two sisters had to abandon their educational aspirations midway, instead learning the art of stitching to contribute to their brother’s academic pursuits. On the other hand, Krishna’s unwavering dedication was evident in his tireless efforts, stitching garlands to let financial constraints hinder his educational journey.
Recalling his humble beginnings, Krishna shared, “I vividly remember my parents’ relentless struggles to support my dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant. Moved by their sacrifices, I too wanted to contribute to the family’s well-being. As a child, I spent six years making flower garlands at a local temple, earning a modest income that helped supplement my family’s needs. This was a daily routine for me, as I would attend classes at a government school and then head to the temple to make garlands after school hours.”
“I am thrilled to have cleared the CA examination, and I owe my success to my parents, who have always supported me. Their blessings and guidance have been instrumental in my success”, said Krishna beaming with pride.
