Gas Cylinder Blast Injures Two In Rourkela, Shifted To Bhubaneswar In Critical Condition

Bhubaneswar: An accidental gas cylinder blast occurred near Gurudwara road area under Plantsite police limits in Rourkela in which a woman identified as Amarjeet Kaur sustained 80 percent burn injuries.

A neighbour rushed to her help but was himself charred upto 60 percent burns.

According to reports, there was a leakage in the gas and as the house was situated in a gully full of houses, there was no proper ventilation for the leaked gas.

When the woman of the house turned the ignition, the blast might have occurred. Both the injured were rushed to IGH in Rourkela. But their condition turned critical and both were referred to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

The doctors have stated their condition to be very critical.
