Gas Leak At Factory In Jharsuguda; One Dead, 5 Critical

Jharsuguda: At least one person has died and five others have been critical following leakage of carbon monoxide gas from an industrial unit in Jharsuguda district on Tuesday.

According to reports, one Barun Pradhan, a contract labourer was killed after carbon monoxide gas leaked at Odisha Metaliks unit located at Budhipadar in Jharsuguda district.

Five others who are critically injured have been admitted to a private nursing home in Jharsuguda and are undergoing treatment.

The deceased contract labourer Barun has been identified as a native of Kechhobahal under Brajrajnagar police limits.

Following the accident palpable tension prevails at the factory.
