Giant Python Rescued From Farmland In Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: A massive python was safely rescued by forest department staff and wildlife experts in Koksara block of Kalahandi district on Saturday morning. Locals informed the authorities about the presence of the giant reptile near the Dengaguda Bobaria canal farmland under the Amapani forest section.

A team comprising staff from the Amapani forest section and the Dharmagarh Wildlife Rescue Team, along with an independent team, responded to the call and rescued the python from the canal.

The python, estimated to be around 10-11 years old and approximately 11 feet long, was later released into the Sahajkhol forest.
