Dhenkanal: A girl student was found hanging in her hostel room at Vidyarthi Residential College, a private institution located near Paikdahikhor village under the jurisdiction of Dhenkanal Sadar police station.
The deceased has been identified as Somyaprabha Sahu, a first-year student of the college. She was a resident of Rasola and had been staying at the college hostel. Her exams were scheduled to take place just two days later.
The reason behind Somyaprabha’s alleged suicide is yet to be ascertained. The Dhenkanal Sadar police station has launched an investigation into the incident.
