**Puri:** A 22-year-old girl, Tina Behera was stabbed by her jilted tuition teacher, Deba Behera (25) of Cherabatia area here. The condition of the girl is critical and is referred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
Sakhigopal IIC Krushna Sethi arrested the prime accused Deba with the sharp weapon used in the crime.
“We were unable to take the statement of the victim. Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was avoiding the accused which resulted in this crime,” informed the IIC.
Notably, Deba was trying to force his love feelings on one of his tuition student, Tina who was avoiding him since last few months. Unable to take the rejection of the girl, Deba attacked her with a sharp weopan on Thursday evening.
The accused is in the custody of the police. Investigation is on.
