Rayagada: Gold ornaments worth Rs 1.50 crore and Rs 2 lakh in cash were stolen at gunpoint from a jewelery shop in Gunupur today. The broad daylight robbery took place near Haladia canal in Gunupur.
The miscreants attacked the shop owner when he was opening the shutter and about to enter the shop. They snatched the bag containing the gold ornaments and cash from him, and fled from the spot on a motorcycle.
The shop owner has reported the matter to police which has registered a case and launched a manhunt. The entire event was recorded on the CCTV at the shop.
