Goods Train Derails Near Rourkela, Services Disrupted

Goods Train Derails

Bhubaneswar: Train services were disrupted on Sunday afternoon after five to six bogies of a goods train derailed near Bondamunda in Rourkela.

According to reports, the incident occurred at the Bondamunda Railway Yard, leading to operational delays, including those affecting some passenger trains. The exact cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained.

On receiving information about the incident, Railway officials and technical staff reached the site promptly and initiated restoration work. Efforts are underway to rerail the affected wagons and resume normal services at the earliest.
