Bhubaneswar: A truck carrying rice from Visakhapatnam to Raipur avoided a possible mishap after landing in a wrong direction allegedly due to incorrect directions provided by a google map.
The vehicle has been stranded for three days at Gajalbadi Ghat in Kandhamal district.
According to reports, the driver relied on the online map and tried to take a shortcut.
Unfortunately, the map led him down a narrow road in Gajalbadi Ghat, where the truck became stuck. This has caused significant inconvenience for other vehicles using the route.
“The vehicle got damaged and so far no administrative officials have come to my rescue,” said the driver.
In a similar incident, a car carrying three people plunged into a river from an under-construction bridge in the Dataganj police station area in Uttar Pradesh on November 23. The car was heading towards Bareilly to attend a wedding event when Google Maps directed them onto an unsafe route.
