Gopalpur Beach Festival

Bhubaneswar: The four-day Gopalpur Beach Festival is set to begin on January 27, 2026, in the scenic coastal town of Gopalpur in Ganjam district, officials said on Wednesday.

The festival, which was earlier scheduled to start on January 22, has been rescheduled to accommodate ceremonial events and special guests, including the Governor and Chief Minister of Odisha.

Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, who made the announcement during a preparatory meeting, said the festival’s inauguration will be graced by Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, while the closing ceremony on January 30 will see the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

“Initially, we had planned to hold the festival from January 22, but after considering the schedules of the dignitaries, the dates have been revised to January 27–30. The event will showcase Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and boost tourism in the region,” Minister Jena said.

The four-day festival will feature live music and dance performances, local handicrafts, beach activities, and regional cuisine, attracting tourists and cultural enthusiasts from across the state and beyond.
