Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Monday extended the deadline for submission of inputs for preparing the vision document for Viksit Odisha@2036 from November 20 to December 5.
According to reports, the decision in this regard was taken at a meeting chaired by Development Commissioner Anu Garg to allow people to submit their proposals to make the Viksit Odisha document more broad-based and inclusive.
So far, the government has received inputs from about 20,000 individuals, organisations and different agencies, and it expects more than 1 lakh opinions and proposals.
The state government is mulling massive public outreach programmes to facilitate it. Garg said that the government will organise open discussions for preparation of the document after receiving proposals.
It is worth mentioning here that the NITI Aayog Chief executive officer (CEO) BVR Subrahmanyam reviewed the progress of preparation of the vision document, which will summarize the requirements and reforms needed to make Odisha a developed economy.
