Bhubaneswar: All Government Hospitals in Odisha have been directed to open official ‘X’ handles in the designation of the Medical Officer in charge of the facility.
After opening of ‘X’ handle all concerned have to be responsive to the needs of the people as expressed through social media.
Commissioner-cum-Secretary Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department Shalini Pandit has written to the Director, Capital Hospital; the Director, RGH Rourkela; and all Chief District Medical & Public Health Officers (CDM & PHOs) in this connection.
“….I am to say that, as per the instruction of the Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, Odisha during the review of this Department on 18.06.2024, you are directed to open official social media handle ‘X’ at all DHHs, SDHs, CHCs and PHCs in the designation of the Medical Officer in Charge of the facility. Further, on opening of this social handle ‘X’, all concerned should be responsive to the needs of the people expressed through social media,” reads the letter issued by the H&FW Department on Tuesday.
The addressees in the letter have been asked to submit compliance regarding the opening of such social media account within 3 working days to the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Odisha.
