Gram Rakshi Electrocuted At Police Outpost During Independence Day Celebrations

Khurda: A Gram Rakshi died of electrocution on the premises of Siko police outpost under Jankia police limits while the Independence Day was being celebrated on the premises.

The deceased was identified as Dhaneswar Das. The mishap left a constable Birakishore Bhol seriously injured.

The incident occured when the police outpost staff were hoisting the National flag. According to reports, the duo came in contact with a livewire and fell unconsciouos.

They were rushed to the Khurda district headquarter hospital where Das was declared dead. Bhol has been shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for treatment.
