Gram Rozgar Sevak Arrested By Vigilance For Taking Rs 15,000 Bribe In Kalahandi

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths today arrested a Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) for accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from a job card holder in order to prepare the muster roll and ensure payment to him and others.

GRS Margret Panigrahy of Badkorlakot gram panchayat under Jaypatna Block in Kalahandi accepted the bribe holders in connection with work done under the MGNREG scheme.

The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from the accused, vigilance said.

The anti-graft agency also conducted house search at one location of Panigrahy in DA angle.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance registered a case under section 7 P.C Amendment Act, 2018. Investigation is in progress against the accused GRS.
