Cuttack: The granddaughter-in-law of erstwhile Kanika king was murdered by her son at her residence at Srivihar Colony of Tulasipur in Cuttack.
Reportedly, 75-year-old Paresh Kumari Singhdeo was murdered by her son Gopala Bhanjadeo over a property dispute.
Gopala had allegedly attacked Paresh several times in the past and had also been reprimanded by the police.
Today morning, he again attacked his mother while her sister Jayanti Samantray was in the house.
On getting information from Jayanti, Bidanasi Police along with the scientific team immediately arrived at the crime spot and detained Gopala.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent to SCB Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem and a probe has been initiated into the matter.
