Bhubaneswar: A team from Grant Thornton Bharat, a global consulting firm, met the Deputy Chief Minister, Agriculture & Farmer’s Empowerment and Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Friday and discussed new strategies in agriculture and energy sector.
According to an official press release, Principal Secretary Energy, Vishal Kumar Dev, and Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, and officers from both the departments were present during the meeting. From Grant Thornton Bharat, Manoj Kharb, Amit Kumar, Ramendra Verma, Padmananda V and Prasad N were present.
The team expressed the keenness of Grant Thornton Bharat to work with Government of Odisha in the agriculture & energy sector so that their expertise in varied fields like capacity building training in best practices in agri-value chains, implementation of sustainable cold chains, monitoring of renewable energy projects, conducting of a pilot study on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at 33/11 kV substations etc. can be leveraged.
