Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das today appeared as a special guest in the house of a common man who is a grade IV employee of Raj Bhavan. The moment was the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the Raj Bhawan employee in Cuttack.
Patitapaban Routray, an ordinary worker in Raj Bhawan who was engaged in water supply work in the Governor House, was elated to have received his boss as a special guest at his daughter’s wedding.
The act of greatness of Governor Das won the hearts of many in the city and across the State. He reached the wedding stage with a flower bouquet, presented it to the bride and wished her a happy marital life. He also posed for photographs with the bride and other family members.
The heart-warming gesture of the constitutional head of the State earned praises from various sections.
The inexplicable Patitapaban praised the governor’s magnanimity.
“I am very much happy that ‘Saheb’ (Governor) visited my home. He is a very amiable person. I can’t express my happiness in words,” Patitapaban Routray, father of the bride said.
