Groom Runs Away From His Procession As Police Chase In Odisha's Balasore

Balasore: A groom ran off halfway to his marriage venue on discovering that he is being chased by police. Such an incident has occurred in Soro area of Balasore district on Tuesday.

Reportedly, a girl had lodged a police complaint against the youth, identified as Jitendra Nayak of Jagannathpur village, alleging him of harassing and cheating her on pretext of love and going to marry another girl at Talanagar village in Soro.

Based on the complaint, Soro and Balasore police had left to nab the youth. However, halfway from Talanagar, the youth got down from his wedding car and went absconding after coming to know about the police chase.

Meanwhile, the bride’s family members have detained two relatives of the youth who had arrived earlier to the venue.
